Led by Eddie Sidaway, with over 25 years' experience in the security industry and more than 15 years in training and Internal Quality Assurance, ES Training & Consultancy combines operational knowledge with a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.

My career in the security industry began at the age of 18 with a simple ambition: to help keep people safe. Over the years I gained experience across a wide range of operational roles, but it wasn't until I discovered training that I found where I could make the biggest difference.
Sharing knowledge, developing others and seeing people grow in confidence became just as rewarding as working on the front line. That passion eventually led me to establish ES Training & Consultancy, with a clear aim of raising standards across the industry through quality training, consultancy and Internal Quality Assurance.
From close protection operations and security management to accredited training, quality assurance and consultancy, every stage of my career has reinforced one belief: competence is built through experience, continuous learning and a willingness to keep improving.
Today, I take the greatest satisfaction from helping training providers improve, supporting instructors to develop their skills and watching learners gain genuine competence rather than simply achieving a qualification. I believe effective training should build confidence, encourage critical thinking and prepare people for the realities of their role.
Outside of work, I have a lifelong passion for martial arts, personal safety and combatives, interests that continue to shape the way I approach training. My philosophy has always been to help people unlock their own potential and develop an individual style that complements their strengths, rather than expecting everyone to learn or perform in exactly the same way.
If there's one thing I hope people take away from working with me, it's that I bring more than just knowledge. I strive to be approachable, professional and to lead by example, combining real operational experience with a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.
